Behind … seriously behind, my Monday morning post arriving not only in the late afternoon, but also one week late.
Awww, just ask me if it was worth it.
Absolutely yes. I’ve had a great few weeks. I visited Lake Tahoe, a favorite spot, with friends and neighbors Barbara and David. When we came home, our Fresno buddies, Janet and Lalo, arrived. They left this morning.
As their car rolled up our steep driveway and the house grew still, I felt the shift. The joy of the recent company faded, replaced by quiet. With Rick already at work and the kitties beside me, I moved through each room, adjusting to the silence and sensing the gentle echo of my friends’ warmth. The transition always takes me a beat or two…
