Election breathing tips, a bit of needed levity
Monday morning cup of thoughts (arriving on Tuesday)
Hello friends, if you enjoy this post please hit restack (the two arrows forming a circle) at the top of the post or the 🧡 button. Either of those efforts support my publication and help it to reach more people.
I sat to write my Monday morning cup of thoughts yesterday, intending to send a positive thought heading into the campaign's last week. Sipping my morning coffee in my favorite chair, nothing was forthcoming. After an hour, I realized I didn't have the bandwidth and that, if anything, I needed someone to pick me up.
I closed my computer and did what fills me faster than anything; I headed out to the garden with Rick. We all need a sanctuary at times, and for me, it's the garden where I find solace and peace, especially working alongside Rick.
As the minutes passed, my mood slowly shifted. By the end of the day, I could see my way clear to ask my yoga students last night (regardless of their political affiliation) to spend a few moments in silence, tapping into our collective healing spirits. Together, we sent positive energy to others in our community, state, country, and world. Because, at the end of the day, we are all in this together, united in our efforts to separate ourselves from negativity.
As our trusted airlines so wisely instruct us when it comes to breathing in difficult situations—
When to use: In the event of a cabin decompression (or an unwelcome election result), an oxygen mask will automatically drop from the ceiling above you.
How to use:
Pull the mask towards you.
Place it firmly over your nose and mouth.
Secure the elastic band behind your head.
Breathe normally.
Keep the mask on until the tears stop.
If helping others: If you're traveling with a child or someone who needs help, put your mask on first, then help them.
Remember, it's crucial to spend this week in whatever sanctuary fills your soul. Take care of yourself first. Then, help your favorite candidate in whatever way possible, and after the election assist those around you who might be feeling distraught.
Namaste, my friends.
Part 5 of The beginning will arrive a week from Friday. As I find my rhythm for this series, it’s becoming clear that one week just isn’t quite long enough to finish a post to my liking. I will be posting on Friday though on another topic, so stop in.
Just breath. Breathe in love. Breathe out fear.
Breathe in peace. Breathe out fear.
See the world through eyes of love. 💕
Envision the change.
Then go vote.
We just had our provincial elections and although there was lots of shift, the same old party got in.
I am breathing. I am sending love. I am thankful for the changes and believe that more is coming.
Breathe. 🧘♀️
This is a wonderful post, Sue. May we each start our day finding inner peace and radiating peace and positivity throughout the day.
