Greetings can be so welcoming. When someone says “Hello, friend,” something within me softens if the gesture feels sincere. Of course, that’s the key. The opposite occurs if I doubt the sincerity of the greeting; I feel mistrust. 

What a power we have each and every day, to greet our friends and acquaintances with a positive hello that conveys how much we like them and that we are open to connection. Hello—
