Mannheim Steamroller is an American neoclassical new-age music ensemble founded and directed by percussionist/composer Chip Davis in 1974. Check out this version of “Stille Nacht.” You don’t need to celebrate Christmas to enjoy this instrumental version of the old classic “Silent Night.”
A few mornings back, as I was traveling through the canyon to work, this popped up on my Itunes (thanks to Rickie’s music collection.) “Stille Nacht” played as I wound down to the river and back up toward Auburn. The fog danced low along the river, but the mist began to rise toward the sky as I neared Auburn. The combination of the song with its sound effects and the rising fog made me feel as if my car might lift from the road and begin traveling to unknown parts. What a way to start the day.

That canyon is so beautiful, but oh so treacherous in winter. But I know you're probably a professional at driving it now! Thanks for the gorgeous music!
