Tonight (last night as you read this) is the new moon.
According to Wikipedia
The New moon is the first lunar phase, when the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude. At this phase, the lunar disk is not visible to the naked eye, except when it is silhouetted against the Sun during a solar eclipse.
With the new moon considered to be a growth phase, farmers and gardeners are known to plant seeds to use the moon’s lunar gravity to help pull the water up.
And as Ashley Neese suggests
The new moon is an invitation to start fresh, call in intentions, and set the tone for the next cycle.
I love the idea of planting new seeds both in the ground as well as my heart and the universe, the beginning of a new cycle, yet another chance at whatever I’m trying to manifest, grow or accomplish. I liken the new moon with my thoughts about life having endless second chances, as Kenny Loggins sings about in One Chance at a Time.
Where would we be without second chances?
I’m grateful for those repeated second chances that I’ve received month in and month out for some 66 years now, soon to be 67. I hope to need those second chances for many years to come.
Not to mention the eclipse in the south node scorpio... all past life karma coming up to view again... I love your attitude. I am about to turn 63 in December. I love Kenny but haven't listened to any of his new stuff. Thank you for this gift this morning! I too am a wayward yogini... I chose being a Temple Priestess more often for someone really special... 27 years. I find life is such a gift, especially as you say, when we slow down. When I left a corp entertainment job in 2000 I said, "Slower, and deeper." Best decision I ever made.
This new moon in Scorpio nearly killed me yesterday.
