For those of you who donβt require the help of firefighters on any regular basis, bear with me for the next few weeks as I continue to pay tribute to these unsung heroes and share some of my awe-inspiring revelations from this wildfire experience.
Last Wednesday I shared gratitude for our first responders/firefighters.
This week Iβm specifically thanking FIREFIGHTERS.
Stay tuned, my post Friday will go into much greater detail.Β
Please share your gratitudes on this last Wednesday in September of 2022. They donβt need to be fire related.Β Just because Iβm on repeat, like a skip on an old LP, you donβt need to be.
Come on, Lynn or Sallie, lead the way. I love your thoughtful shares. And I love you both.
I am so deeply grateful to these men and women, and I know that every year they learn more and more about dealing with this scourge. The reporting on Yubanet was fantastic. I have written several newspapers, who've run weird articles on fires, to get interviews with some of today's fire workers. They know so much, they work so hard. And when Nature plays along, they succeed. We evacuated for five days. And are soooo happy to be home. We fled a disaster and tried to find our footing in a strange place without knowing what the next day would bring. Thanks to these people, it brought us back home. Sigh.
My delayed gratitude from last week was reconnecting with a treasured friend. She reached out to me and we were like buddies again after 30 seconds on the phone.
