Let’s start this week with a little celebration, shall we? The last few weeks have been filled with many blessings for me, so I’m hanging on to those awesome feelings this morning.
First, I'd like to thank all my new readers, free and paid. I recently studied my numbers and realized that since moving my newsletter to Substack in July, I've grown my readership by approximately 40%. Thank you, Kurt, for being that voice in my ear (also known as the foot in my back) urging me to take the leap.
This morning, we have a contest to commemorate this accomplishment, a drawing for a paid subscription to Tales. Taking the lead from Anne Kadet's humor, where else could you win a paid subscription to a free newsletter other than on Substack?
Of course, there's a sweet story that accompanies this contest. I have a reader who calls herself my Number 1 fan; her name is Vicki. She also just began her own Substack publication, Vicki with an i. I wish her lots of luck with her new endeavor.
Vicki expressed the desire to give one of my readers a paid subscription. Together we came up with the idea to make it a silly and fun contest. So here we are, raffling off a paid subscription to a free newsletter.
If you'd like to enter, just respond with the word Enter, and I'll put your name in the drawing. And to be fair, if you're a paid subscriber, you should also have a chance to win something. If you still need my book Lessons of a Wayward Yogini or would like another copy to give to a friend, respond with the word Book. If you're a paid subscriber and don't need another copy, respond with Bookmark. I'm out of ideas if you've got a drawer full of old bookmarks and only read on your Kindle.
Really, isn't this just exciting? Let's plan on next Monday's cup of thoughts for the announcement of the winners. I'll be back before then with some gratitude on Wednesday and a post about my book-reading experience on Friday. Have a great week, everyone!
Thank you Sue for coming up with a great fun giveaway. Good luck to everyone! 😊
