How often does our brain overcome our heart’s desire? One of my favorite parts of The Artist’s Way is the thought-provoking quotes lining each page. These treasures are an integral part of the experience.
With only two chapters left, I have two thoughts this week.
The Artist’s Way is for everyone, not just those who consider themselves artists. And I will revisit this exercise because there is too much to take in reading for the first time. No wonder this book, written in 1992, still circulates today.
Here’s the quote that resonates with me this week.
How often— even before we began—have we declared a task “impossible”? And how often have we construed a picture of ourselves as being inadequate? A great deal depends upon the thought patterns we choose and on the persistence with which we affirm them. — Piero Ferrucci
