Last night (two nights ago, as I post this) Rick was visiting friends in Fresno. After a lovely day working in the Rosa-Lucca tasting room, I arrived home a bit tired. I sat in my favorite chair, the kitties within petting distance, and finished reading The Artist’s Way. So many life lessons lined those pages, and it was almost impossible to take it all in. But I will remember the ones pertinent to me. Here’s one last favorite quote from the book.
Do not fear mistakes— there are none.
Miles Davis
After twelve weeks, this incredible journey had come to an end. I sat quietly, contemplating the gift I had received. I welcomed thoughts about Julie. She taught me many lessons here on Earth. And from the beyond, she continues to mentor me. I have no doubt she is celebrating, somewhere in the heavens, likely dancing. She did so love to dance.
The artwork above was a card she gave to me years ago. I have no information about the artist. Please share if you have knowledge about the creator of this image.
Studied the artwork before I read the essay. Don't know who it is, but it's wonderful!
The Artist’s Way has been a lovely gift, hasn’t it. In addition to bringing me back to the morning pages, it introduced me to lovely souls like you... 💞📝💞
