This week I hope to sync up a bit.
Last week upon arriving home from our trip, I had a colonoscopy.
Days are lost in anticipation, prep, and awaiting results.
But in the spirit I most adore… appreciation…how lucky am I to have a choice to stay ahead of possible illness? It turns out I have growths that need to be removed. So be it.
Chatting with a friend, she remarks, “I’m not fond of going to the doctor.” I respond, “I can relate, but I am fond of living.” We both chuckle.
Within two days, I receive a cheerful voicemail from my doctor. My test results are good. For the first time in days, oxygen fills my lungs completely. My shoulders drop an inch and I begin to notice the ache deep within my muscles. They have kept vigilance in the waiting.
Our bodies are nothing short of miraculous.
Living isn’t easy at times, but so worth fighting for.
Friday… tales from my visit with family in the Pacific Northwest.

Oh gosh, Sue! Sending love. So very happy for your positive outcome.
Yay!! Glad you are well. When people can Milan about their ailments my 90 year old dad says, “It’s better than the alternative.”
