Thanks to
for allowing me once again to use one of her beautiful photographs for this post. While the headlines remain abysmal, something has shifted in our country and, more importantly, inside me. Perhaps it’s because I took a Reiki II class this weekend (more about that in a future post), but my outlook has adjusted to the sun behind the clouds, as Karen Davis’ beautiful photo above depicts.
Uplifting messages have found their way to me, such as the profound wisdom shared by my friend Lynn's priest: “it’s important to remember these situations have been going on since the beginning of time and somehow we all survive.” This simple yet profound declaration offers a comforting reassurance. Or the children and families in Idaho taking a stand with their chalk drawings outside their elementary school, which include messages like, “Everyone is welcome, important, accepted, respected, encouraged, valued,” with each word highlighted in a different color.
As I heard someone say last week, democracy finally has a pulse. And if the enormous crowds gathering at the Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rallies are any indication, the citizens of the US are ready to fight back to save the great cornerstones of our country: freedom, equality, inclusion, and caring for your fellow man. And maybe, just maybe, we are all rethinking money and its power and how we might learn to adjust going forward.
Goodness is on the horizon just as surely as the sun sits behind the clouds. We’ve all just got some work to do, on both sides, for the greatest good of ALL.
Thank you @Laura W. for the restack! You are always such a generous supporter! I appreciate you.
Delightful, uplifting message to start the week, thank you 💖
