Wasn't it just last week I wrote about listening to my body and resting when needed? And when I don't listen, I end up paying the price? Yep, that was what I wrote. Too bad I didn't completely follow through. I rested for two days and then charged full steam ahead for the next six days. On the seventh day, I came down with a bad cold, and now I am resting after three days with little choice in the matter.
It could be worse, though, I'm dry and warm, and another storm has arrived. We just heard a thunderclap that seemed to roll through the canyon toward our house, which I love as long as I feel safe. We (Rick) will build a fire in the fireplace, and I will finish the job left undone last week: to rest, nap, read, watch Netflix and eat whatever Rick feels like making.Â
I hope to be on the mend by early next week. And I'll be lighting my candle for all those in harm's way as this current storm moves through.
Hugs and well wishes
Our minds say yes when our body says no way. I change my vote to Monday and Friday. I do not see many who write 3 times a week. It is your spot here in Substack. To write when the mood moves you. We’ll be ready get here waiting for you. Gosh those would make great song lyrics.
