Who among us doesn't need a second chance every now and then?
I particularly like this Monday morning cup of thoughts
As I returned from the garden to our kitchen last night, I was captivated by the vibrant, deep red growth on the rose bush on our deck and a new bud —- at the end of August? This rose bush, a recent addition to our garden, has symbolized resilience in the face of the harsh summer temperatures. A few weeks ago, she appeared to be struggling, and I doubted her survival.
I ensured she was receiving enough water and sheltered her from the relentless sun in the late afternoon by putting up an umbrella. Today’s discovery was a powerful reminder of the impact of personal care and responsibility in nurturing life, our own or even one of our lovely plants in the garden.
How do we put up umbrellas for our human struggles? What does that look like? These are the questions we must ask ourselves. Each of us has a different answer. But it's in the asking, in the listening to our hearts, and in the acting accordingly that we ensure that next season or even at the end of our current season, we have the ability to produce deep red growth.
I’ll always be taking my cue from nature.

Beautiful, thoughtful question. Sometimes the umbrella doesn’t help or it’s broken and we must endure the pain from the heat or be drenched from the persistent rain. Thankfully, we are durable. Mostly.
I particularly like this Monday morning cup of thoughts too! It hits home.
