Well said. I watched and felt similarly. I love what you say here. I've often heard that each person we interact with or are in relationship with shows us a mirror or ourself. Jung said if someone is irritating us, that someone is showing us something deep inside ourselves. You are so true it's one-and-done. We can congratulate or criticize afterward, and if thinking instead of judging, can consciously make better in the moment, but these are choices we do have and we should use them. Brilliant perception. Apparently the Everything movie has won over 150 awards, more than any other movie ever. The closest one is Lord of the Rings that won 100 awards. I could only watch 31 minutes of Everything. I heard someone say yesterday that young people love the movie and old people not so much. I guess according to that, I'm old. I just felt uncomfortable with the chaos and it reminded me of a time when my life was nothing but chaos. I realized I had a choice in the moment to choose to watch something that wouldn't make me as uncomfortable. I understand now that the movie was about love. Not sure I have to endure so much chaos to learn what I need to learn about love. Have you watched it and can you answer my questions? If you don't have time, I understand.
No, Lisa, I haven't watched it. But now I'm very curious to do so. I'll keep you posted. But like you, I don't tend to like chaos, so we'll see. And that may well be my age showing, and I'm good with that. I've done the loud and chaotic, and I'm happy to leave that for others at this point in my life. 💜
Yes, I am okay with my age showing. I know what love is. I don't need chaos to teach me about love. I've had plenty of chaos and I'm as done with it as I can be. I wash my hands of the need for noise, chaos, conflict, bs. XO
I went to the movies a few weeks back, first time in years. I actually didn't think I'd seen most of what the Oscars would be celebrating, and it turned out I had seen a few on Netflix, so that was fun. Most of what I want to see now from the Oscars I will be able to do from home! 💜
I did not realize Everyone Everywhere All At Once had won more awards than any other show. That is fantastic.
The movie had a message of love, acceptance, mirroring, and oneness.
It held so much meaning, like what I imagine that life review as one passes might hold.
I am 57 and I loved it, my husband is younger and he loved it too.
It brings forward a shift in perspective of what is important in life that may be difficult for some folks; the beauty of life is that it is never to late to change...
I identified with several speakers who mentioned times are changing and changing rapidly. The dizzying pace of "Everything" caused me to realize that the pace of MTV Videos has come to moviemaking. I believe the ability of not being able to concentrate and stay focused on a topic is a direct result of the quest for instant gratification our culture has ended up at. I feel overwhelmed with in-your-face issues that I have absolutely no interest in, which are accelerating at laser speed. Typically, movies provide a release from reality, but not so much anymore.

I'm with you!!! 💜
I agree! I loved that many Oscar winners thanked their parents.
I agree, Laurin. I too loved the sentiment about parents and people who supported the dreams of the winners. 💜
Agreed! I really appreciated the diversity aspect and the fact it didn’t fit the old Hollywood narrative.
Missed the Oscars but happy to read the message you gleaned. Thx for your observation.
Same ✨
I enjoyed them too even thoughI don’t watch or go the movies.

I agree, Patricia. Never too late to change, and never too late to learn something new. 💜
So true, Sue! Life without meaningful human interaction is dark.
Yes, I agree, Holly! 💜

Interesting, Ben. I need to see this movie, but I'm with you. I don't care for being overwhelmed with chaos. 💜
Loved this - I haven’t watched it but I’d like to one rainy afternoon ✨
