THank you for this lovely story! For years, we have had several birdhouses which are tenanted every season with bird friends raising their families. What a pleasure just having birds around us brings to our minds and hearts!

Such a lovely post, Sue! We don't have bluebirds over here - oh boy, they're REALLY blue!!! 💙

We've got two sets of blackbirds that have just fledged - a family of two, and a singleton. Goodness me, they're entertaining. The solo chick is doing its best to line up incognito to be fed by the others' parents - it's even managed it a couple of times! Heaven knows what that level of deception is doing to the pecking order of the avian community in our garden, but it's pretty fun to watch them. 🤣

I could watch the birds for hours! One year we had swallows and one baby in particular would put his head halfway out the hole to be fed. He was so darn cute! 💜

We also love the birds, especially in the winter at the feeder. We are hoping that the mated Hungarian Partridges bring their babies here again this year
