Lovely writing; our hands communicate so much. In certain cultures, people speak with their hands. When I was young, I was one of those people.

But when I started work professionally, I was told it was unprofessional to give a presentation using my hands. So, I forced myself to speak without my hands. When I quit the professional job. I returned to my old and natural way of communicating.

Hands can heal; hands can communicate.

I love this post. Truer words were never spoken. Touch can be such a healing gift. Once a year the hospital priest would come onto our unit to bless the hand of the nurses who wanted to receive his blessing. He always told us we were doing Gods work with our hands. Your story warmed heart. Thank you, love you ❤️
