As I start this week, my to-be list consists of being mindful of the blessings of simple pleasures. My pre-retirement job ended last Saturday. I'll write more about that when I finish my Embracing Family series.
Today is the second Monday I've woken up to a week without work. Teaching yoga is a passion as opposed to work. So, what will I do to mark this special occasion?
Teach a poolside yoga class later today, but before that, I'm hunting for apricots. For any true hunter, finding good apricots does not constitute hunting. But for someone who loves making apricot jam, it is a hunt for sweet fruit. I am heading to the Dixon area to see what I can find.
My car is clean—oh, still, my beating heart. I actually had time last week to wash it. I believe the last wash was before winter. Windows open, music playing, and a clean windshield (at least for the trip down)—I am one happy camper.
Hopefully, next Monday, I'll post photos of my jam and reminisce about times past when I learned to make apricot jam with Julie.
Be back Friday with Part 3 of Embracing Family. Sending gratitude for the likes, comments, shares, and restacks that have helped Tales of a Wayward Yogini grow—and for welcoming me into your inbox weekly.
You reminded me to change tires in my car.
Apricots are one of my favorite fruits😋
