It’s been easy over the last few years to become a bit jaded about humankind. But I’ll say this, it only takes a wildfire (or some other natural disaster) to restore one’s faith in the kindness of strangers
Oh my gosh, that's horrible! I would feel the same way. As a matter of fact, when I was finishing my book ms for Lessons of a Wayward Yogini, my old computer was getting very tired. I kept sweet talking it to just let me finish up. And no lie, that computer died as soon as I was done. I was so grateful it waited. Happy to hear you will be able to save most of your work. Oh, and I will be rewriting my About page, having learned some new tips from Substack. I'm going to be including a few comments from readers, and I'd love to include yours if you are okay with that. It will be advantageous for you as it will show your link on my About page. Let me know. If you'd like to chat off line, feel free to email me at info@sueferrera.com.
When I saw your post appear, I felt a surge of excitement and anticipation of settling in with you for another journey of words through your thoughts and experiences...as you are one of my favs....
And then.....
It was like a teaser of possibilities, a few flakes of shaved chocolate when I was wanting to taste the full richness of a whole bar.
I understand and empathize....
Short and sweet is ok...
And I admit, i really like it when your postings are longer and fuller and take more than 15 seconds to read...
It was like going to the field for a long anticipated baseball game to have it called just as we reached the bleachers.
Still, you are a winner and i will keep returning to read whatever you write!
