Glad you're feeling better and, as an additional source of income, you could rent out your husband's wise advice in times of gloom and doom. ;-)

There you go, Joyce. We could use an additional income stream, lol! 💜

Rick has great wisdom. And we all need to have a pity party from time to time. Having a wonderful supporting spouse makes that possible, so after the party you can get back to what you know is your true self. Go team, go! Rah-rah-rah...you can just see the pom-poms flinging in the air...

I agree, Jen, on all points. 💜

Great cast. Funny yet deep. So much going on that I appreciated! Loved the character arcs. I thought the writing was precise... While so much was going on, it all flowed together. Funny about Fonda's shirt and manipulation to get the whole family together for the week long sitting and sleeping in the same house Shiva. Interesting, that it would be front and center this week when it came out in 2014.

Oh wow, I didn't realize it was that old of a movie. I agree, so much to love about this movie.

Yes the wisdom of 'the Rickster' unequalled package it bottle it sell it. He's a walking, empathic platinum mine. Of course your prose kicks butt because the thread of the story the vulnerability with your history your illness and how we trap ourselves with limiting perspectives and imprisoning 'decisions' is instantly relatable to your readers and me. A snippet or fleck of pure truth ambrosia from said companion dissolves the bogus fixed idea yielding a truth bound pivot. My brother Eric's refrain the reality sandwich! Well done. Captain!!!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Love this response so much! I finally got to show it to Rick today. 💜

As the others, I agree with all their comments about how you worked through this. I came down from a jump for my cheer try out, self-consciously trying to close my red sweater and cover my humongous boobies. Plus, it seems I was yelling at people to scream so they let me continue to be president all three years but no more cheer on the field from this girl! Only one of three leaders for the big all school 9th grade Pop Warner Eagles' Cheer. Not in high school with the real experts.

I received one of those fancy machines from a friend. His dead wife had purchased six of them. I received it without a book or any kind of a guide. I took a local class about five years ago. I haven't pulled it out since. I really should.

Love your heart quilt. That will definitely be cherished for many decades to come by you and all your loved ones.

I got sick over New Years. I too hadn't been sick since 2018. A functional practitioner told me to not take anything to stop a fever. To let it run its course. That our bodies need to release annually. We need to let the body do what it has to do! Never had one last long when I let nature do what she needs to do.

I'm thinking that although I could do the kicks and splits with the best of them, what I don't think I exhibited was self-confidence most likely, at that point. I was definitely a bit shy. And yeah, you definitely need a book of instructions for these machines. Like I said to someone else, I spent at least an hour yesterday with my nose in a book trying to learn to fill the bobbin and thread the machine. But once I got going, it was great fun! Can't wait to get back to it. 💜

Perhaps I will try again... I forgot to tell you, I watched that movie also and loved it!

It was really such a nice movie. I watched it sewing and then watched it again with Rick because I wanted him to see it. I liked it just as much the second time as the first time! 💜

Glad to hear you’re on the mend and back to quilting. I was wondering if you’ve had a chance to explore the wonders of your new computer which happens to have a needle and bobbin😁

It is amazing. It took me hours to just wind the bobbin and thread the machine, having to remember what I learned a few months back. But once I got that out of the way and began to play, it went great. I love the machine/computer! You'll have to come sew soon! 💜

This is why your home here will have more and more subscribers. I loved your story. The tie-in to being a wannabe pom girl is so relatable to me. I was rejected because I did not complete my front flip. It sounds like your positive thinking, good sleep, and vitamin C worked. Praying you continue to get well. 🙏
