That can be a helpful attitude and often turns out to be true when we look back after we have recovered from bad experiences.

However, I don’t think it’s always true and sometimes it helps to just acknowledge that bad things can happen without any later benefit. Kate Bowler’s book “Everything Happens For a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved” explains that far better and in greater depth than I can here.

I watched that same episode. Great quote.

Yes, it truly was. I literally paused my computer, "stop, what did he just say?" 💜

My daughter and I have been using this phrase for a few years now. It is filled with marvelous potential, and takes the victim mentality out of the equation. OK, that being said, I am still awaiting the “aha” moment when the fracturing of my hip in Dec. becomes a “Happed for me” revelation. Perhaps it is for me to experience patience, not just for myself, but for others in my life also.

Thanks for the reminder. 💕

Your aha moment won't likely arrive until you've fully healed, or "finished the course" so to speak, which I hope is sooner rather than later!! 💜

Great quote. Another one I had to write down yesterday: "With gratitude, optimism is sustainable." Michael J. Fox

I love this and will definitely use it going forward. I truly believe that thinks happen for a reason - whether good or bad. This sums it up perfectly! I’ll see you tonight at yoga❤️

Think about how much your life changes when you have the perception of your life happens for you! It changes the question of why did this happen to me to why did it happen for me?

How did this happen to me to how did this happen for me?

Welcome, Kim! Happy to have you here. Isn't the quote perfect? I had to run over to my computer and pause the program. "Wait, what did you just say? Repeat that!" 💜

LOL. I do that all the time. I've got little sticky notes and scraps of paper with quotes I hear all over the place. My challenge is finding them again.

My post this week also wasn't what I had intended to write about. I had another topic 3/4 done during the week and meant to polish it up, but nope. It just wasn't what ended up coming out on Sunday. That's what I love about writing and this platform.
