I have to share this photo that I saw on FB. Seriously, do I have any readers that don't find this precious? Look at those faces. They're ridiculously cute and make me feel happy.
Regarding the poll on whether to drop Hump day gratitude, there was a solid vote to eliminate Hump day gratitude and save Wednesdays for an occasional post. With that said, I had some readers who clarified that they enjoyed the gratitude posts.
I've decided to meet in the middle. I will continue to offer my Hump day gratitude as each week permits, or use the day for any business posts or sharing someone else's work. You'll hear from me more often than not on Wednesdays. But some weeks, you'll only have two posts. Good compromise?
And finally, my thought for this week— I mentioned in a recent post that I no longer make resolutions. But my friend Trula @yogawithtrula.com has a practice that appeals to me. Instead of resolutions, she selects a word that reflects her values, intentions and hopes for the new year. She asks herself what she would like to change and then selects a word that reflects whatever it is.
What I like about this idea is that there’s nothing to fail at. Instead, the word you select reminds you of your desires or aspirations. We often lose sight that many (of course not all) of our experiences are influenced by our actions or lack thereof. If we are reminded or focused on a goal, we have a much better chance of achieving it.
I like the idea. I’m considering my word and plan to choose one soon.
I chose my word not long after getting out of the hospital--again--this time for a broken hip and subsequent total hip replacement. I’ve had so much down time since October that I painted my word on a rock. My word for the year is “Patience”.
I love the picture. I also makes me smile!
