I’ve finally learned at 66 that it’s okay to change my course concerning any journey. It’s easy to get caught up in self-doubt, the should and should nots, and one of my favorites, what will people think?
When we try on an uncomfortable pair of shoes, we take them off immediately (except perhaps that exceptionally gorgeous pair that we bring home knowing they aren’t sustainable for extended wearing.)
If we applied this guideline in all our life choices (relationships and employment), we’d likely save ourselves a great deal of heartache. But then again, one could argue that if we wore the shoes long enough to break them in, they could become our favorite pair. ➡️⬅️↘️↙️↔️⤵️🚧
Plotting our path is always challenging. I’m happy to be at a stage in my life where I listen to and honor my inner voice when she says, “hey, let’s try this direction.” 🏁
Sweet and uplifting post! With a perfect image of lovely cloud “Change” in an arrow to indicate everything in life is temporary and always moving onwards. Yes!
Wonderful….i can imagine the lilting sound suffusing the night!
