I think when younger there is a fear of change. Staying with what you know is the easy way out. Not all people are that way. There are those risk takers. I am not. Changing course happened after I was 50. I figured out what is the worst that can happen? I am glad your course is on your writing. And how do you select the photo for each post?

I wasn't much of a risk taker either, until after 50. One of the perks of aging! Some of the photos are taken by me, but not the clouds in this picture, ha! I found this one on Pixabay in their free selections. I always credit Pixabay under the photo if I'm using one of theirs.

Thanks Karen! I thought of you this morning at the pond, no birds, strangely quiet. It was getting a little warm mid morning, so maybe their activity was slowing up. 💟

It definitely ebbs and flows that way. Where are you located again?

We have a young man a few blocks away who plays the bagpipes. He used to go outside every so often and practice. You could hear him blocks away. I loved it. He stopped unfortunately. I don't see him or know him for that matter, maybe he thought it was bothersome to neighbors, or maybe some neighbor did object.

My Dad always told us to follow our passion in life. Good advice and when that passion no longer feeds your soul, it’s time to move on.

Oh, I love that. Your dad, what a nice man he was. 💟

I have a song suggestion for you which I listen to as soon as I wake up to super boost myself into a high state for the day...Its “The Nights” by the Scottish band Avicii...Live a Life You Will Remember. Followed by an astoundingly beautiful instrumental version “The Nights (slowed down) by Chen Boi...both on Spotify. In joy! Life is made for living love in glorious celebration and inner freedom...

Oh my gosh, I just returned from my walk to the pond and I've pulled up "The Nights," I LOVE IT. I just recently received an updated ancestry report and it seems I'm 47 percent Scottish, so how could I not like this music? Thanks for sending. I'll check out the slower version after I play this a few more times. 💟

Love the shoes! Made me think of all the things I have turned away from at an instant, and then come back to, and "broke them in." It's basically how I have grown. At least that's the way I've usually grown. The new seems . . . whatever, at first. And then . . .

I know, Sallie. What we need to understand is that our mistakes are our lessons and we are right where we are supposed to be. 💟
