This week, I have something special to share, giving me more time to work on Part 7 of Just a train ride away. If you missed Part 6, you can find that here.
Recently, one of my very loyal yoga students, Luisa Piette, asked if I would be interested in being interviewed on her local Auburn television program “What Matters Most” to discuss yoga, my book, and writing this newsletter on Substack.
Of course, I hemmed and hawed. I told her I’d have to try to clear my calendar, mentioned I’ve recently been invited to a slew of interviews and podcasts, and I wasn’t sure when my calendar would open up— in some parallel universe.
What I actually said was,
OF COURSE, wow, that would be amazing!!!
Luisa’s experience in broadcasting goes way back to the 80s with the BBC in the UK, and later Voice of America in the US. She’s currently the CEO of LHP Communications (lhpcomm.com) and the president of Placer Community Theater (placercommunitytheater.org). Her show “What Matters Most” airs monthly on Auburn Community TV.
The filming was great fun, and I did not feel nervous due to Luisa’s expertise in interviewing and making a guest feel comfortable. I settled in quickly. I fought back tears a few times, but what else is new if I’m talking about feelings? I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Luisa.
Sometimes, the universe smiles down upon you, offering an experience that tickles the daylights out of you, maybe when you’re three, or 23, 45, or even 68. You can find my interview here.
I also have a Book page now on my site directing readers to Lessons of a Wayward Yogini. My newly-designed button created by
is below. Someone is getting rather techie.I’ll be back next Friday with Just a train ride away Part 7.
Oh Sue, this is AWESOME! Thank you so much for linking to your interview - I've watched and loved every minute of it. You're an inspiration! ❤️
What a fun experience!
