’s post “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” below her gorgeous photo she writes, “Do you think, sometimes, that damselflies just sit in a beautiful spot simply to enjoy it?“Last week, on my way home from running an errand, I had a delightful encounter with my neighbors Janet and Laurin. They were at the tail end of their morning walk when I pulled up next to them and rolled down the passenger window. As we chatted, a tiny dragonfly flew in the window and landed on my arm. The three of us shared a moment of pure joy, giggling in delight at the unexpected visitor. We even commented on the fact that dragonflies are considered to represent good luck. My little buddy, as I quickly named him, rested on my arm until I drove home a few minutes later. It might sound silly, but I felt honored that this tiny creature trusted me enough to sit a spell with me.
I thought about that dragonfly several times over the weekend, and this morning, I was fortunate to read
’s post “Visited by a Dragonfly,” which is absolutely delightful, attached below.I've been suffering from sciatica for the last few days and have been on the verge of tears ever since Amy left and the Crosier fire began. I've needed a positive message. This quote by Albert Einstein has made its way to me three times in two weeks.
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. - Albert Einstein
Some would say a friendly dragonfly, a coincidental essay and an ancient quote don't measure up to a miracle. I must reside in Albert’s second camp, as I see miracles all around me.
Have a blessed week. Please hit the 💕 button or restack (two arrows forming a circle) if you enjoyed this post.
Every morning when we sit on our patio, we are greeted by a little lizard who comes to share our quiet time! Nature is the best gift of all!
I absolutely believe the dragonfly was there for a message and why not believe in miracles? Life is so much sweeter than we do.
I’m going to direct message you a page from the book called the healing questions guide by Wendi Jensen on sciatica for you to consider
Sending love and healing vibes and wishes for you to be safe and faith that you will from the fires
