Thank you Karen. We are still grateful to be at home, but not out of the woods by any stretch. Just finished writing another post about this experience which I'll probably post Monday. As I'm sure you understand, the writing always calms my senses. I'm sure you'll be reading much more about this experience. Please send a positive though our way in the next week!

I'm late to the party...er...bonfire, Sue, but I'm thinking of you and praying. How unnerving that must be!

Another beautiful thoughtful post that was both delightful and distressing to read! My thoughts and prayers have been with you since reading your post this morning. Since 2015, we, like you have been through several threatening fires and lived through days in the Yellow Zone, while thick choking smoke swirled around us. We live just outside a tiny town in the mountains of Mendocino County and have already had 5 fire starts this week, all of which were quickly put out with many fire districts answering the call to fight them. After watching what happened to Paradise and recently to Weed, we live with the reality that a raging monster fire could add our area to the list of places ravaged to the ground. Since my grown daughters both live in Nevada City, my prayers are fierce for the safety of both you and them and all of your homes! You are an inspiration....please keep us all informed!

Thank you so much for your comments and prayers. Sadly in California, the threat of horrendous wildfire now comes with the territory. We were blessed yesterday and so far today with little to no wind. Keep those prayers coming! 💜

Please be safe. Our door is always open if you need a place to stay. All we can do is place or faith in Gods hands and pray. Thinking you you both.
